Producing a background tile

click the image to see the tile

You will need 20/20 and the Outlook Express 5 or superior (if you intend work with messages)

Follow the steps:

1
In the 20/20, open your image and works on it in "muted background" way , as you did in the tutorial 08, impressing an amount of 50% transparency at this time (it is enough to roll the little bar 'opacity' in the edition window of the mutedbackground)

2
To obtain the same appearance of the sample above, click on Image/Rotate and define the direction of your preference.

3
At this time you will have a "tiled" image in hands, prepared by you, and ready to be used as 'tile' in any background. If your image is small, in weight and dimensions, the effect certainly will be the best one and lightest as possible, from the point of view of the most adequate images for web exhibition, or for formatting messages.

4
Try other options of that magnificent program and, depending on the image you choose, click Image/Invert. See bellow the worked tile - and afterwards click the image to see it applied. In that case, I used a light image, in spite of its bigger dimensions.

And how uses this tile? Which is the better way to present it?

IN DREAMWEAVER OR FRONT PAGE
As you perceived, a background prepared with that kind of image does not present those so unpleasant amendments and junctions - therefore it is enough to inserted it as "background image" in your web page or table, by the conventional ways.

IN OUTLOOK EXPRESS 5x
- Open OE5 and, in the menu bar, click in Message/New message Using/without letter paper.
- A window with a no formatted message will open. In the message menu bar click Format/Background/Image - you'll see the screen "background image"; click on 'Search' and localize your "tile-image" inside your computer. Your message will rest now with that new 'letter paper', ready to be sent.
- Click on the body message to insert there another image, over the background (If you want to), as you usually do, using the commands Insert/Image.

Enjoy it!
