Your signature will be ready after a few little clicks. Open
a New Image, transparent, with sufficient space to shelter your
signature. Usually I open a 400x400 canvas - well big even (laughters)
2
In your Color Palette leave 'foreground' closed and 'background'
with 'White' color.
3
With the Text tool, click the center of the transparent canvas
- in the "Text entry" window define the Font you are
going to use, and/or the Font-symbol of your preference. Check
the options "Selection" and "Antialias",
and press OK to accept.
4
Your text or symbol is now available in the transparent image,
with the appearance of a 'selection', barely. With the text
still selected apply a Cutout effect (80/6/2/2/color white),
and then a Drop Shadow (40/2/2/2/ color black). You can decide
of what appearance will have that image, which will be its shadow
color, and the amount of its transparency, modifying and experiencing
other parameters for those actions - if you want more or less
transparency, increase or decrease the attribute "Opacity",
for example.
5
Save the work, just like it is, in PSP native format, if you
intend reuse it again. Open the image over where you are going
to apply the signature - returns to the text screen you became
to prepare and, in layer palette, maintain pressed the left
mouse button over the text layer and drags it to the center
of the opened image you intend to apply the 'signature-text'.
A copy of the text will immediately appears on that screen,
being able to be positioned where you want to. Duplicating its
layer, many times you want, will press a more definition to
that signature. But remember that more duplicates you have,
more opaque will be the text.
6
And there is: a transparent signature! If you want use a symbol,
with a text inside, do this work in two steps: first producing
the symbol and applying it over the image; in succession, creating
a new layer over the image and dragging over it the text, adjusting
it inside or beside the symbol, as you want.
Or vice versa : -))
See bellow a small example of this work transparency:

Creates and recreates - you now have everything you need to
be "inventive".
Hands
in work and...
Enjoy it!
