1
Open
a new image (300 x 300), transparent, 24 bits.
2
In Colors Palette define any background color, and leave
"Foreground color" closed.

3
With the Text tool click anywhere in the
image; in the"Text entry" window choose the "Font"
you want to use in your signature and define a medium size,
between 8 and 18 points. Leave the fields 'Vector' and 'Antialias'
checked. This is what your image will looks like:

4
Click File / Export Shape - define a name for your shape, and
accept the other screens. At this time, your signature will
be automatically saved inside the Paint Shop Pro Shapes folder.
5
You just created
an opaque signature, ready to receive any kind of fill or pattern
you want, under all available PSP configurations for any other
shape . Works on it the same way you usually works on a PSP
shape - after all, it is a shape, and as one it can be
resized the way you want, without lose definition.
6
To make your
signature available to use, click the Preset Shapes tool, in
the Toolbar, and find it in its proper window. Alternatively
you can open the PSP Browser, locate the Shapes folder, and
open the desired file by double clicking on it: the signature
will be open with the definitions which was created, and already
selected with the vetorial selection (see image above), being
able to be resized and receive the Color and/or the pattern
of your choice.
See
below, some more samples of use of the signature shape, filled
with patterns, at this time, and with other colors contours,
using segmented lines, edited the same way as the example that
heads this page.

Have fun!
